How We Created a Model to Dress AI Characters in Real Fashion, Available Online and In Stores
A Case Study in Innovation, Efficiency, and Driving Long-Term Client Value
The hype around using AI tools in design, video, content creation, and even production isn’t slowing down. We’ve already seen various examples of AI-created content in commercials abroad and even here in Israel. At KNBL, we’ve been using these tools since the beginning of the revolution. Our studio and social media departments subscribe to more tools than our credit card can handle 😊, and our work efficiency and capabilities have improved dramatically. Innovation has always driven us, and without it, it’s hard to start the day.
This time, our innovation wasn’t just for the sake of “innovation” itself; it genuinely provided measurable value both in cost savings and efficiency.
The Challenge
This marks our fourth year as the advertising agency for H&O Group. Typically, we release a new TV commercial every two months. However, this time, we faced an exceptional challenge: producing a kids’ campaign on a tight timeline during wartime, with a strict budget (to prioritize media spend), and making last-minute choices on collection items due to stock availability, weather, and other factors.
The Solution
After brainstorming with our creative and AI development teams, we decided to try something unprecedented: dressing AI-generated characters in real collection pieces available during the promotion. By creating the characters, their environment, the music, and an entirely AI-driven execution, we aimed to cut production costs by approximately one-third. If we could successfully ‘dress’ the characters in real clothes, it would allow us to make last-minute decisions on campaign items and tailor the characters’ outfits accordingly.
The Result of Our Work - New AI model for fashion
In reality, we achieved something far beyond our initial goal. Through our work on this campaign, we developed a powerful model capable of dressing AI characters in fashion items using simple pack shots provided by the client. With this model, we produced a complete set of images for H&O’s e-commerce site, featuring AI-generated children wearing various items from the brand’s collection. This approach saved us multiple photoshoot days, offered immense flexibility in showcasing a wide range of items, and created a more engaging, sales-driven look on the site compared to standalone product displays.

Tools We Used for Creating the Campaign
We used Midjourney and Miro for building consistent characters, followed by IDM-VTON and Flux to dress the characters in the specific brand items sold in the H&O stores. Additional video animation tools included LUMA, Runway, and Kling. The song lyrics were written with ChatGPT, and the music was created with Suno.ai
